We got up earlier and drove back to Venice Airport. We did have some trouble to find the right path to the rental car place. After 3 tries and several inquiries, we finally found it. The Google Map was lacking directions on making right turn to get to the rental car return place.
The flight back to Houston was just long. We had 2 transfers in Paris and Atlanta. The Atlanta transfer was pretty bad. For some reason, they want you to take out the checked bag and re-check them after the custom process. And you have to go thru the security again, that's ridiculous. However, we got home around 1am without any issue.
